Green has a strong connection with nature, helping us to connect empathically with others and to the natural world. Instinctively we seek out this colour when we are under stress or experiencing emotional distress. It creates feelings of comfort and relaxation, calmness and space, lessening stress and balancing and soothing the emotions. Dark green or dull greens create emotional uncertainty and lime greens can have a detrimental effect on emotions as sickly yellow and green are associated with envy, resentment and possessiveness.

The Turquoise Sea.

Turquoise is the color of communication, self awareness and initiative. Turquoise has more to do with feeling and creative expression than with rational thought. Turquoise will make you feel happy and relaxed, for it combines the light blue of the sky with the invigorating green of the seas. Shades of cyan, aquamarine, and turquoise are livelier than peaceful true blues, but just as soothing. The vision of Caribbean waters will affirm this. These blues relax and refresh the body and mind. They encourage us to get out in the fresh air, sunshine, and water.

Variations of the Color Turquoise:

Aqua: Closer to green than blue, aqua is refreshing and uplifting. It is creative and light-hearted, yet strong and individual.

Aquamarine: Enhancing creativity and inspiration, the color aquamarine calms and balances the mind and the emotions.

Teal: A more sophisticated version of turquoise, teal signifies trustworthiness and reliability. It promotes spiritual advancement and commitment.
